The SKAN Research Trust and the University of Cambridge have joined forces in an exciting collaboration aimed at advancing stem cell research.
This collaboration brings together the expertise of both institutions and leverages advanced DNA sequencing capabilities to unlock genomic insights. Together, they are embarking on a journey that will significantly contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, with a particular focus on age-related brain diseases.
Over the course of the next three years, the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI) and SKAN will engage in a comprehensive knowledge transfer programme. This programme will involve multiple consultancy agreements and will benefit both parties.
SKAN will undergo significant upgrades in its stem cell and bioinformatics capabilities, including the adoption of state-of-the-art sequencing technologies and cell culture methodologies. This will enhance SKAN's ability to conduct advanced research in the field.
One of the key outcomes of this partnership is the establishment of a world-class stem cell centre in Bangalore by SKAN. This centre will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in the field of stem cells.
This collaboration between SKAN Research Trust and the University of Cambridge represents a promising partnership in the realm of stem cell research.
