PHARMAP 2021: Navigation Map Through The Pharma Trends

Wednesday, June 30, 2021

Connecting the whole pharmaceutical value chain and focusing on manufacturing and packaging sides of the industry were the main directions of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packaging Congress 2021 (PHARMAP 2021). It took place on the BGS online platform on June 28-29, 2021, and raised the questions of the further industry development, continuous manufacturing, and intelligent packaging.

The most cutting-edge pharmaceutical topics demand attention of the decision-makers from the whole value chain of the industry. This is why during two days of the sessions, there were presented more than 45 case-studies from the experts of the pharmaceutical industry. The presentations about pharmaceutical innovations, industrial post-COVID-19 trends, and technologies for the future development were the main topics of the Congress plenary session. Discussions about anti-counterfeiting, blockchain technologies, and data protection were the presentations of the closing session. The other sessions of the business program were divided into two streams dedicated to the packaging and manufacturing questions respectively:

•    Manufacturing topics included batch and continuous manufacturing, technology equipment, AI and digital development, outsourcing and external partnerships possibilities, which were discussed with Bayer AG, Biocon Limited, Takeda, Janssen, Abbott, Aspen Technology, Novartis Oncology and other market majors.
•    As for the packaging directions, Epson, Mankind Pharmaceutical, World Packaging Organisation, Ferrer, Omron Electronics and others raised the topics of key trends and new standards, cutting-edge sustainable solutions, smart pharma packaging technologies, personalized packaging, and new labelling approaches.

More than 250 participants from Europe and other regions were networking on the BGS Online platform showing their solutions to potential partners. CIOs and directors of pharmaceutical companies and laboratories, research and manufacturing directors, clinicians, IT project managers, heads from manufacturing and packaging pharma technology gathered to present their cases, share solutions and network on one platform during the Congress. “The PHARMAP’s motto is ‘navigate pharmaceutical world’, as the reflection of our goal to connect the global industry experts. The key dots on the map are connected with the strong strings, so our Congress serves as a platform to make connections between the key industry players”, says Project Director Natalya Kuznetsova.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Packaging Congress provides the networking platform for the decision-makers from the pharmaceutical industry. It is a place for experts to share their cases, exhibitors to showcase their solutions, and industry representatives to discuss pharmacology trends at the same venue. The registration to the next edition of the Congress is already open, get more information about the PHARMAP 2022 via the link: https://bit.ly/2SzPDZ2
