Webinar: Closed System Transfer Device and its Interconnectivity with Drug-Vial-Closure System

There is an increased use of Closed System Transfer Devices (CSTDs), with the intention to reduce the occupational exposure of healthcare workers to hazardous drugs. Although CSTDs offer the benefit of protecting healthcare workers, there is a lack of testing standards for CSTDs. There are also no requirements for evaluating their compatibility with vial-closure systems.

This webinar discusses the factors to consider when using a CSTD and addresses the potential challenges and impact of pairing a CSTD with a vial-closure system.

The webinar will also include a case study which covers some performance analysis of CSTDs.
