Actavis Competing With Pharma giants for Omega Pharma Deal

Actavis Plc (ACT) is among the bidders for Omega Pharma NV as the U.S. drugmaker continues hunting for acquiring firms in the sector.
For Omega Pharma there are giants in line along with Actavis including Perrigo Co. (PRGO), Sanofi (SAN) and Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH emulating its price to be around 4 billion euros ($5.1 billion) in the sale.
The company obtained Irish tax domicile by acquiring Warner Chilcott Plc last year also it agreed to buy Durata Therapeutics Inc. this month for $675 million to gain an antibiotic to treat skin infections.
