Alteogen Enters into Agreement with Tesaro for Subcutaneous Dostarlimab Development
Wednesday, January 21, 2026
Alteogen has announced an exclusive global licensing agreement with Tesaro a subsidiary of GSK, to support the development of a subcutaneous formulation of the PD-1 antibody dostarlimab.
ALT-B4 is a human recombinant hyaluronidase enzyme designed to support the subcutaneous delivery of large-volume drugs. It works by temporarily breaking down hyaluronan in the extracellular matrix, enabling more efficient absorption of medicines delivered under the skin.
The collaboration will use Alteogen’s proprietary hyaluronidase, ALT-B4, developed through its Hybrozyme™ technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tesaro will obtain worldwide rights to use ALT-B4 for the development and commercialisation of the subcutaneous product. Alteogen will receive an upfront payment of US$20 million and may earn milestone payments of up to US$265 million linked to development progress, regulatory approvals and sales performance. The company will also be eligible to receive royalties on future product sales. Alteogen will supply ALT-B4 for both clinical and commercial use.
The agreement expands the application of Hybrozyme™ technology into oncology, with the aim of offering a subcutaneous option for a therapy that is currently administered intravenously.
