Amaran Biotech Enters into Agreement with Nippon Fine Chemical to Expand CDMO Capabilities
Friday, March 07, 2025
Amaran Biotechnology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nippon Fine Chemical.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in nanoparticle-based drug manufacturing while expanding services across Taiwan, Japan, and international CDMO markets.
Amaran Biotech operates Taiwan’s first fully automated robotic aseptic filling line, which ensures precision and efficiency in handling high-value pharmaceuticals.
Nippon Fine Chemical, a Japanese company with over a century of experience, has more than 40 years of research and development expertise in phospholipids technology. Its Presome™ series products are designed to improve drug targeting, enhance stability, reduce toxicity, and enable sustained release.
Under the agreement, Amaran Biotech will integrate its aseptic filling capabilities with Nippon Fine Chemical’s expertise in nanoparticle-based drug development, including liposomes and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). The collaboration will cover key CDMO processes such as sterile filtration, aseptic filling, packaging, storage, and quality management.
Additionally, Zillion Fine Chemicals will contribute to CDMO operations in Taiwan, with all three partners combining their strengths to improve technology and service offerings in key markets.
The agreement is expected to support growth in the nanoparticle-based drug sector, which holds strong potential for future development. By leveraging advanced aseptic filling technology and pharmaceutical production expertise, the collaboration aims to provide a comprehensive solution for CDMO services while creating new business opportunities.
The partnership is set to enhance capabilities in Japan, Taiwan, and international markets, reinforcing the role of all three companies in the evolving pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape.
