Axplora Invests €6.5 Million to Expand Vizag Site and Achieves FDA Success Across Indian Operations

Axplora has announced a €6.5 million investment to expand its Vizag site in India.
The move aims to increase production capacity and strengthen the company’s global supply chain.
This development comes shortly after the successful completion of routine US FDA inspections in 2025 at Axplora’s two Indian sites—Vizag and Chennai—both operating under the company’s PharmaZell Business Unit. These achievements highlight India’s importance in Axplora’s global strategy and its continued focus on quality and compliance.
The Vizag expansion is expected to boost output and generate new employment opportunities. It will also support the company’s sustainability objectives by enabling more efficient and integrated production processes at a single location.
The US FDA inspections at both sites concluded with a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) status, reflecting strong adherence to international regulatory standards. The Chennai site, in particular, received positive feedback on its consistent implementation of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), efficient document management, and high standards of cleanliness and facility maintenance.
Axplora credited the success of the inspections to the dedicated efforts of its site teams and confirmed that all observations raised during the inspections will be addressed through appropriate corrective actions.
With increased capacity at Vizag and a proven record of regulatory compliance at both Indian sites, Axplora continues to reinforce its presence in India and its position as a reliable partner in the global pharmaceutical industry.
