Bayer Enters into Collaboration with MOMA Therapeutics for Oncology Program

Wednesday, October 09, 2024

Bayer has announced a collaboration with MOMA Therapeutics to develop and commercialize a small molecule oncology program.

The program will be based on MOMA's proprietary KNOMATIC™ platform, which is designed to accelerate the discovery of therapies targeting highly dynamic proteins, a promising area in cancer treatment.

Under the agreement, Bayer will oversee preclinical development, further research, and commercialisation of the programme.

The partnership allows Bayer to access MOMA’s KNOMATIC™ platform, which combines structural insights, hit-finding technologies, and computational lead optimisation to develop innovative cancer therapies.

Dynamic proteins, which are involved in disease progression, represent a novel class of therapeutic targets. By focusing on these proteins, the collaboration aims to address significant unmet needs in oncology through precision medicine.

MOMA will receive an upfront payment, along with potential milestone payments and tiered royalties on future net sales.
