Biofidelity Launches Aspyre® Clinical Test for Rapid Lung Cancer Profiling
Friday, November 22, 2024
Biofidelity has introduced the Aspyre Clinical Test for Lung.
This advanced test is designed for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, providing molecular profiling for all guideline-recommended genes using tissue or liquid biopsy samples. The test analyses both DNA and RNA and delivers results within two days, significantly accelerating treatment planning.
Currently, many patients face long waiting times for molecular test results, and some tests fail altogether. By delivering next-day results with high accuracy from both tissue and blood samples, the Aspyre Clinical Test addresses this challenge.
The technology simplifies genomic profiling, identifying somatic mutations and gene fusions directly from DNA and RNA. This approach avoids the need for multiple assays, saving time, reducing sample requirements, and lowering costs.
The scientific validation of this test will be showcased at the International Society of Liquid Biopsy Annual Congress from 23–25 November 2024 in Denver, Colorado.
A poster titled "Aspyre Lung Blood: Validation of a Simple, Fast and Robust Method for Molecular Profiling of Actionable Variants in Plasma" will be presented during the scientific poster session on 23 November.
The Aspyre Clinical Test offers an opportunity for clinicians to make quicker and more informed decisions about treatment. With the ability to analyse both blood and tissue samples, it aims to increase accessibility to genomic testing, enabling better patient outcomes.
Early and precise biomarker detection allows for the use of optimal therapies, which can improve tumour response rates and overall survival in patients with advanced and metastatic lung cancer.
