Charles River Laboratories International has entered into an agreement with H. Lundbeck A/S (Lundbeck) to support brain disease research using its AI-powered drug discovery platform, Logica®.
Logica integrates Valo Health’s AI-powered Opal Computational Platform™ with Charles River’s drug discovery and preclinical development expertise.
This collaboration aims to accelerate the discovery of treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
This combination enables the rapid translation of biological data into optimized preclinical drug candidates.
Under the agreement, Lundbeck will utilize Logica to design small molecules for neurological research, with the goal of advancing novel therapies.
Launched in 2022 by Charles River and Valo Health, Logica offers an AI-driven, end-to-end drug discovery solution.
It brings together predictive models, chemical design, synthesis, and high throughput screening, along with DNA-encoded libraries, ADME, biology, pharmacology, and safety testing.
The platform provides a seamless process from target identification to candidate selection, streamlining the journey towards IND submission.
