Coherus and STORM Launch Combination Trial of STC-15 and LOQTORZI® in Advanced Solid Tumours

Wednesday, May 28, 2025

Coherus BioSciences and STORM Therapeutics have entered into a clinical collaboration to evaluate a new cancer treatment approach.

The project will test the combination of STC-15, a METTL3 inhibitor, with LOQTORZI® (toripalimab-tpzi), a PD-1 inhibitor, in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), melanoma, and endometrial cancer.

The trial has entered the Phase 1b stage, where the focus is on assessing the safety and potential effectiveness of the combination treatment. If successful, the programme will move into Phase 2, enrolling up to 188 patients in the United States to explore the effects of the therapy in larger patient groups across the four cancer types mentioned. The trial is registered under NCT06975293.

Under the terms of the agreement, Coherus will provide LOQTORZI for the trial, while STORM Therapeutics will act as the sponsor. Both companies will retain full commercial rights to their respective treatments, whether used alone or in combination.

The partnership aligns with Coherus' strategy to broaden the use of LOQTORZI in various cancers through collaborations that involve innovative treatment combinations.
