Gilead to Acquire Tubulis to Strengthen Oncology Pipeline with Next-Generation ADC Platform
Wednesday, April 08, 2026
Gilead Sciences has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tubulis.
The move is aimed at strengthening Gilead’s oncology pipeline and addressing areas of high unmet medical need.
The acquisition will expand Gilead’s ADC capabilities by adding advanced assets and technology platforms designed to deliver targeted therapies more precisely to tumours. Tubulis’ lead candidate, TUB-040, is a NaPi2b-targeting topoisomerase-I inhibitor ADC currently in Phase 1b/2 trials for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Another asset, TUB-030, targets 5T4 and has shown encouraging early clinical results across several solid tumour types.
Tubulis’ pipeline and technology platforms are expected to complement Gilead’s existing expertise in oncology development and commercialisation, with potential applications across multiple cancer indications.
Following completion of the transaction, Tubulis will operate as a dedicated ADC research unit within Gilead. Its Munich site will serve as a centre for ADC innovation, supporting integrated discovery, manufacturing and clinical development activities.
