Hikma and Celltrion expand collaboration to enhance biosimilar availability in MENA

Hikma Pharmaceuticals has strengthened its partnership with Celltrion through new exclusive licensing agreements across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The partnership aims to improve access to affordable and advanced biologic therapies by introducing six new biosimilar treatments in the region. These therapies will target key therapeutic areas such as allergic diseases, ophthalmology, skeletal-related disorders, immune diseases, and oncology.
Under the new agreements, Hikma will hold exclusive rights to commercialise the biosimilars in all MENA markets, while Celltrion will manage the development, manufacturing, and supply of the products.
The initiative represents a major step forward in making high-quality, cost-effective biologic alternatives more accessible to patients, helping to ease the financial burden on healthcare systems and improve treatment outcomes. It also reinforces Hikma’s growing role as a leading biosimilar provider in the region and supports its broader strategy to expand its biotechnology portfolio and strengthen its hospital business across MENA.
