Insilico Medicine and Human Longevity Partner to Develop AI Foundation Model for Longevity Science
Wednesday, May 27, 2026
Insilico Medicine and Human Longevity have announced a multi-million-dollar collaboration to develop what they describe as the industry’s first large-scale AI foundation model focused on longevity science.
The partnership will combine Insilico Medicine’s experience in generative AI, multimodal foundation models and deep learning systems with Human Longevity’s large-scale clinical and biological datasets. The companies aim to build advanced AI models capable of studying the biological mechanisms linked to ageing and supporting predictive healthcare.
The global longevity market is continuing to expand as ageing populations increase demand for preventive healthcare and longer healthy lifespans. AI-driven drug discovery is becoming an important part of ageing research by helping scientists analyse ageing biology, predict disease risks and identify new therapeutic approaches.
Under the collaboration, Insilico Medicine will contribute its expertise in multimodal AI model development and system engineering through its MMAI Gym platform. The company will provide support in model architecture, training systems, benchmarking and computational algorithms.
Human Life Foundation Models (HLFM), established by Human Longevity, will integrate these technologies with Human Longevity’s de-identified multi-omic, imaging and longitudinal clinical datasets. The data repository has been built over more than a decade and includes integrated health information from thousands of individuals.
The companies expect the jointly developed models to support early detection of age-related diseases, predictive health risk analysis and the discovery of AI-driven therapeutics and personalised interventions aimed at extending healthy lifespan.
The collaboration also aims to support a broader shift in healthcare from reactive treatment towards preventive and longevity-focused medicine.
