Janux Therapeutics Enters into Collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb to Advance Tumour-Activated Cancer Therapy

Friday, January 23, 2026

Janux Therapeutics has entered into a collaboration and exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Bristol Myers Squibb to develop a new tumour-activated therapy for solid tumours.

The partnership will focus on an undisclosed therapeutic candidate that targets a well-established solid tumour antigen found across multiple cancer types.

The programme is based on Janux’s proprietary tumour-activated technology platforms, which are designed to improve the precision and safety of immunotherapies.

Under the agreement, Janux will be responsible for advancing the programme through preclinical development and preparing the Investigational New Drug (IND) application. Following IND submission, Bristol Myers Squibb will take over responsibility for clinical development and global commercialisation. Janux will continue to support the programme through the completion of the first Phase 1 clinical study.

Financially, Janux is eligible to receive up to USD 50 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments. In addition, the company may earn further development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments totalling up to approximately USD 800 million.

Janux will also receive tiered royalties on worldwide product sales.
