Thursday, April 17, 2025
M42 has entered a strategic partnership with Juvenescence.
The collaboration was announced during Abu Dhabi Global Health Week, held from 15 to 17 April at ADNEC, where M42 participated as a Foundational Partner for the second year in a row.
Through this investment and partnership, M42 and Juvenescence aim to create a pipeline of AI-driven therapeutics to support healthy ageing and address life-threatening conditions. The move forms part of M42’s broader strategy to advance its drug discovery and development capabilities under its newly restructured Life Sciences and Integrated Health Solutions platforms.
Combining M42’s expertise in genomics, biobanking, and clinical trial infrastructure with Juvenescence’s drug development experience and AI discovery tools, the partnership is expected to accelerate breakthroughs in biomedical research. It will also support the identification of new drug targets, enhance disease understanding, and contribute to faster and more efficient clinical trials.
In addition to drug development, the partnership includes collaborative opportunities with global academic and research organisations, supporting the growth of Abu Dhabi’s biotechnology sector. A Joint Steering Committee with members from both companies will oversee the implementation of the partnership’s goals.
This collaboration builds on M42’s genomics work, including support for the Emirati Genome Project, which has sequenced over 800,000 genomes to date. The company’s Omics Centre of Excellence, the largest facility of its kind outside the United States, and the Abu Dhabi Biobank home to over 900,000 samples will both serve as key resources for ongoing and future research efforts.
The partnership contributes to Abu Dhabi’s broader ambition to establish itself as a global centre for health innovation and to strengthen its life sciences sector as part of a wider economic diversification strategy.
