Mirai Bio Enters into Partnership with Thermo Fisher to Advance Genetic Medicines Development

Mirai Bio has entered into a strategic collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific to accelerate the development and manufacturing of genetic medicines.
The partnership will bring together Thermo Fisher’s global manufacturing capabilities and cGMP services with Mirai’s proprietary technology platform for designing and delivering novel nucleic acid therapeutics.
Founded by Flagship Pioneering, Mirai Bio offers end-to-end services to industry partners through a machine intelligence-driven platform. This platform supports the high-throughput design and in vivo testing of tissue-targeted delivery systems and enables the rapid industrialisation of drug development candidates.
The collaboration will begin by using Thermo Fisher’s advanced facility focused on RNA and complex formulations. It also involves a direct investment into Mirai Bio, building on Thermo Fisher’s ongoing partnership with Flagship Pioneering.
The partnership aims to overcome current limitations in the genetic medicines sector by combining Mirai’s innovation in delivery and therapeutic design with Thermo Fisher’s technical and commercial manufacturing strengths. Together, the companies seek to support faster programme development and broaden access to new treatment options.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to developing enabling technologies for first-in-class therapies and enhancing the co-creation of targeted, programmable medicines.
