Neuraxpharm and Dizlin Partner on Global Development of New Wearable Therapy for Advanced Parkinson’s Disease

Wednesday, July 09, 2025

Neuraxpharm Group has entered into a global co-development agreement with Dizlin Pharmaceuticals.

Infudopa SubC® provides continuous and controlled drug delivery via a wearable belt pump. It has been developed as a more practical and physiologically effective alternative to existing advanced PD treatments. The system is intended to enhance patient independence and reduce the burden of managing motor fluctuations associated with the later stages of the disease.

Parkinson’s disease is currently the fastest-growing neurological disorder worldwide, affecting over 10 million people. This figure is expected to double by 2050. As the disease progresses, oral medications often become less effective, leaving many patients with severe motor symptoms that require device-assisted therapies. Infudopa SubC® is designed to meet this unmet need by offering a more manageable and efficient treatment method.

The partnership aims to bring Infudopa SubC®, a next-generation drug-device combination therapy, to patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease (PD).

This agreement marks Neuraxpharm’s first entry into the drug-device field, reinforcing its strategy of expanding innovative treatment options for neurological conditions. Infudopa SubC® is a wearable subcutaneous infusion system that delivers a ready-to-use solution of levodopa-carbidopa, designed to improve symptom control in patients who no longer respond well to oral treatments.

Under the terms of the agreement, Neuraxpharm will co-develop the product and will hold exclusive commercial rights for Infudopa SubC® in Europe and in countries outside Europe where it has a direct presence. In other territories, including the United States and Japan, distribution will be arranged through partners agreed by both companies.

This collaboration is expected to accelerate the development and accessibility of Infudopa SubC®, supporting its global launch and availability for patients with advanced PD.

The partnership with Dizlin is part of Neuraxpharm’s wider strategy to expand its portfolio through innovative collaborations. It follows the company’s previous move into digital health via an agreement in 2022 with mjn-neuro to commercialise a wearable device that predicts epileptic seizures. Both initiatives reflect Neuraxpharm’s focus on combining pharmaceutical expertise with med-tech solutions to improve outcomes in CNS care.

By joining forces, Neuraxpharm and Dizlin aim to offer an improved quality of life to people living with Parkinson’s disease through easier access to advanced, effective, and patient-centred therapies.
