Novo Nordisk and OpenAI Collaborate to Improve Drug Discovery and Delivery

Novo Nordisk has entered a strategic partnership with OpenAI to advance the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare and speed up the development of new treatments.
The collaboration will use advanced AI tools to analyse complex data, identify potential drug candidates, and shorten the time needed to move from research to patient care. The initiative includes strong data protection measures, governance frameworks, and human oversight to ensure responsible and compliant use.
As part of the agreement, OpenAI will support Novo Nordisk in improving AI skills across its global workforce. The partnership will also focus on increasing efficiency in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and other corporate operations.
Pilot programmes are planned across research and development, manufacturing, and commercial functions, with full implementation expected by the end of 2026.
