Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., based in Osaka, Japan, led by President and CEO Gyo Sagara, has announced a new research collaboration with InveniAI® LLC, headquartered in Guilford, Connecticut, USA, under the leadership of President and CEO Krishnan Nandabalan. This collaboration aims to utilize InveniAI's advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to identify innovative therapeutic targets.
According to the terms of the agreement, InveniAI will utilize its AI drug discovery platforms, including AlphaMeld® and ChatAlphaMeldTM, equipped with cutting-edge AI and ML algorithms and Generative AI tools, to identify novel therapeutic targets across various diseases specified by Ono. Subsequently, InveniAI will propose drug discovery hypotheses for optimization. Ono will then conduct validation studies to confirm the viability of these hypotheses for multiple therapeutic target candidates identified through InveniAI's drug discovery hypotheses. Ono will retain exclusive rights for the development and commercialization of resulting drug candidates worldwide.
