Sable Therapeutics Enter into Agreement with Columbia University to Develop Novel Polycation Nanomedicines

Sable Therapeutics has announced an exclusive global licensing agreement with Columbia University.

This collaboration aims to advance a new range of polycation nanomedicines, SBL-001 and SBL-002, designed to treat visceral and subcutaneous fat. Through this agreement, Sable Therapeutics gains exclusive rights to develop and commercialise intellectual property.

SBL-001 and SBL-002 are innovative compounds specifically designed to target fat cells and reduce their volume by up to 70%. These compounds also have the potential to serve as a delivery system for other fat-reducing agents, such as GLP-1s.

This research from the lab to clinical development, highlighting its potential as a powerful tool in the fight against obesity. This agreement distinguishes the company in the aesthetic and obesity-related markets and emphasised the value of their partnership with Columbia University in developing new treatments for fat reduction.
