Salipro Biotech and Daewoong Pharmaceutical Partner to Develop New Small Molecule Therapeutics

Salipro Biotech AB has announced a new research collaboration with Daewoong Pharmaceutical.
The agreement gives Daewoong access to Salipro Biotech’s specialist knowledge and Salipro® platform, which is designed to stabilise difficult membrane proteins such as GPCRs, ion channels, and transporters.
The partnership aims to focus on a specific membrane protein target to support Daewoong’s efforts in developing novel small molecule drugs. By using Salipro Biotech’s proprietary technology, the companies intend to improve the chances of identifying effective treatments for complex drug targets that are often considered challenging within drug discovery.
This collaboration also marks Salipro Biotech’s first partnership in South Korea, highlighting the growing global reach of its membrane protein stabilisation platform.
