TCS launches Agentic AI platform to transform drug development
Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services, consulting and business solutions company, has launched TCS ADD™ AgentHub, an enterprise-ready AI platform designed to support the use of agentic AI across drug development.
The platform provides pharmaceutical companies with role-based AI agents that can support clinical trials and pharmacovigilance while meeting regulatory, governance and audit requirements. It addresses challenges linked to growing data volumes, fragmented systems and increasing regulatory expectations across the research and development value chain.
Built on the TCS ADD™ framework, AgentHub provides a structured environment where AI agents work with defined roles, human oversight and built-in auditability. Pharmaceutical companies can create customised AI agent hubs and deploy them across clinical workflows, with streamlined integration to support faster adoption.
TCS said solutions powered by the platform have delivered up to 40% efficiency gains in clinical data management, up to 30% reductions in clinical study build efforts through metadata-driven automation and up to 30% cost savings in end-to-end safety case processing. AI-powered safety agents can also reduce quality control efforts by up to 50%.
The platform supports a Human + AI operating model, where AI agents are integrated into enterprise workflows while people remain responsible for oversight, governance and decision-making.
AgentHub covers a range of clinical development and pharmacovigilance activities. These include individual case safety report intake, data entry, coding, review and literature analysis, as well as study design, protocol digitisation, clinical data review, SDTM transformation and medical monitoring support.
TCS plans to expand its catalogue of AI agents based on customer requirements and operational needs. The platform is designed to allow organisations to deploy agents progressively with limited integration and implementation effort.
By standardising the deployment of AI agents across drug development and safety processes, TCS aims to improve operational efficiency and allow scientific teams to focus on higher-value activities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
