Wheeler Bio and MindImmune Therapeutics partners to advance Alzheimer’s prevention programme MITI-101

Wheeler Bio has entered into an agreement with MindImmune Therapeutics to support the development of its lead Alzheimer’s prevention programme, MITI-101.
MITI-101 is a monoclonal antibody aimed at blocking CD11c+ immune cell recruitment from the blood into the brain, a process linked to neuroinflammation that contributes to Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. The treatment represents a first-in-class approach targeting peripheral immune cell trafficking into the brain.
Under the deal, Wheeler Bio will provide process development and cGMP drug substance manufacturing services through its ModularCMC™ platform, which is designed for antibody-based therapies.
Its ModularCMC platform is designed to accelerate the path from discovery to clinical studies with speed, scalability, and a collaborative approach.
The partnership with MindImmune is expected to help advance MITI-101 into clinical development, offering a potential new option for patients affected by Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
