Bristol Myers Squibb has announced plans to invest approximately US$2.3 billion to develop a new manufacturing campus at Generation Park in Houston, Texas.

The project involves the construction of a modular manufacturing campus designed to support multiple types of pharmaceutical production. The site will be configured to manufacture small-molecule medicines, biologics and antibody-drug conjugates.
The campus will support drug product and finished goods manufacturing from late-stage development through commercial production. Its modular layout will allow manufacturing areas to be added or reconfigured as production requirements change.
The manufacturing capabilities for different medicine types across a range of therapeutic areas. The design will also allow changes to manufacturing configurations and the addition of future production capabilities.
The approximately 600,000-square-foot campus will be located within Generation Park in Houston, Texas. The development will require supporting infrastructure for manufacturing operations, utilities, transportation and site services.
The project was selected following an evaluation of locations in the central and eastern US. Factors considered included workforce availability, utility access, transport infrastructure and available incentives.
Construction and other development activities are expected to take place between 2027 and 2030.
