Adare Pharma Solutions plans to expand its packaging and warehousing capabilities at its Pessano facility in Italy, Europe.

The two-storey, 2,800 square-metre extension at the site will house a purpose-built packaging hall for a new packaging line. The Marchesini Integra 220S MA260 packaging line will primarily handle tablets, capsules, and softgel capsules, packaging them into Aclar, Triplex, PVC, PVDC, ALU/ALU blisters.
The 20,400 square metre Pessano facility offers R&D services for accelerated formulation and process development, seamlessly transitioning to manufacturing. It caters to a wide range of solid dosage forms, including granules, capsules, and tablets, at clinical and commercial scales. Additionally, the facility provides capabilities for controlled substances and organic solvents.
With integrated Robocombi 'pick and place' and serialisation features, this machine has the capacity to package more than 50 million blisters annually.
The expansion includes a 1,000 square-metre warehouse with a capacity for 900 pallets, along with space for a future packaging line.
The installation of the new packaging line is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2024.
