The purpose-built centre consists of a two-storey dynamic forum, which will serve as a versatile gathering space for scientists, students, and professionals alike.
The Centre for ocean education and innovation has been designed to harness the full potential of interdisciplinary science. It will provide space for an additional four research groups, fostering a collaborative environment for cutting-edge scientific research.
The laboratory expansion includes four additional research groups, designed to encourage interaction and collaboration among researchers from diverse backgrounds.
Currently, the centre conducts single- and multi-day courses and workshops throughout the year. With the addition of the 300-seat forum, the institute will have the capacity to host large collaborative events that cater to both the scientific and industrial communities.
The ground breaking for new centre is scheduled for October, and the completion of this project is expected to take place in the spring of 2025.
