Introduction:
Catalent has invested US$9million in a new clinical supply facility in San Diego.
Features:
The new 24,257 square-feet facility is expected to provide clinical supply services to clients in the early stages of clinical development.
The site operations will include product packaging, labeling, storage, and distribution, as well as drug returns and destruction, while the facility will also have stability chambers.
The facility will be located less than a mile from the company's early-phase oral drug product development site and is expected to start its operations in the summer of 2020.
The new facility will join two existing Catalent global centers of excellence in oral dose early-phase development in Somerset, New Jersey and Nottingham, UK.
