Janssen-Cilag and Johnson & Johnson to open new facility in Mumbai, India

Introduction:

Janssen-Cilag and Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development (J&JPRD) broke ground for a future pharmaceutical research building after opening the extended and renovated Analytical & Pharmaceutical Development Center (APDC) in Mumbai.

Planning to expand its overall presence in the Asia-Pacific region, J&JPRD has committed to invest for extending and renovating the APDC. The future J&JPRD Pharmaceutical Development building is expected to be completed by the end of 2008. Occupying 2,400 square meters, this will be one of the most modern facilities of its kind and will also contribute to further expansion and presence of the company in this region.
