Features:
Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, announces its preliminary investment to expand the capabilities of the 380,000 square foot Molex Little Rock facility in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The construction of purpose-built clean room suites, as well as acquiring FDA registration and ISO 13485 certification are planned to be complete in the beginning of Q2 2018.
This facility is supposed to contribute for Phillips-Medisize’s medical business with capabilities of filling, drug handling, electronics and connected devices.
This investment aims to extend the solutions and knowledge of Molex’s existing electronics production operations with Phillips-Medisize’s proven platform of drug delivery and medical device expertise.
This facility will accommodate large programs requiring extensive assembly and molding operations, in clean room and other controlled environments, within a compressed timeframe.
The facility will have a particular focus on mid- to high-volume diagnostics, medical device and drug delivery systems that integrate electronics and digital applications.
This is the company’s sixth expansion in the past six years.
