Piramal Pharma Solutions plans to expand with the addition of a new manufacturing facility located in Michigan.
Features:
The new facility is laid with an investment of US$32 millionfor the development and manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The facility is constructedwith an area of 25,000 square feet including 8,500 square feet of production space. This production space will be dedicated to customers and patients to provide significant benefits.
This expansion also features both existing and new capabilities in labs and manufacturing.Moreover, the expanded facility also advances large-scale manufacturing with the addition of new reactors capable of handling up to 4000L.
The new facility also includes two new kilo labs for process development and GMP manufacture for clinical trials at scales up to 100L.In addition, the new equipment withthe latest 1m2 filter dryer with glovebox technology, 3KL/4KL mild steel glass-lined reactor, and 3KL Hastelloy reactorare designed to handle potent compounds with OELs >1mcg/m3.
The new facility is expected to complete its construction in the beginning of summer 2022 and create additional job opportunities.
