Rentschler Biopharma Plans for the Construction of a New State-of-the-Art Buffer Media Station in Germany

Rentschler Biopharma is set to build a new state-of-the-art buffer media station in Laupheim, Germany.
Features:
This state-of-the-art, four-storey buffer media station will span 3,400 square metres.
The new facility will feature three media tanks and six buffer tanks, ensuring ample capacity for the production of buffer solutions and media. To maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety, buffer and media preparation will occur in separate areas.
Additionally, the facility will integrate with the in-house logistics and piping systems for both upstream and downstream processes.
The goal of this new facility is to enhance production efficiency and modernise the site, fully addressing the evolving needs of patients now and in the future.
It will seamlessly connect with the existing infrastructure, facilitating faster and more efficient processes, and will feature ergonomically designed workstations to create an optimal working environment for employees.
The new building and all technical systems will adhere to the highest quality and automation standards, supporting environmental and sustainability objectives with advanced equipment.
Construction is scheduled to commence in spring 2025, with completion and operational launch anticipated by the end of 2027, allowing the full capabilities of the new buffer media station to be realised by 2028.
