Thermo Fisher’s to Invest US$35 million to Construct State-of-the-Art Pharma Facility Centre in Rheinfelden


Thermo Fisher Scientific announced its US$ 35 million expansion plan to build a state-of-the-art pharma services supply chain facility in Rheinfelden (Baden) Germany.


Thermo Fisher Scientific is planning to begin the construction of its 8000sq meter pharma service facility centre in Q4 2018 at the 26,000sq meter site. The project is expected to complete within 12 to 18 months.

Seeing the growing demand for global clinical supply services worldwide, company made a decision to construct the State-of-the-Art Pharma Centre.

The expansion of service centre will be able to generate nearly 200 new jobs opportunities in life science segment locally.

With the synergy of latest technology and modern infrastructure, Thermo Fisher Scientific will significantly able to support various complex clinical research works.

The facility is anticipated to enhance the strategies of logistic management for quick shipment of supplies either by road or air.

The pharma facility centre developed as a new business model will help the customers to manage the clinical development process and provide flexible manufacturing alternatives to address client needs in a large marketplace.
