Introduction:
Vetter announced the offering of more extensive tests for auto-injectors beginning in March 2019 for their customers with the expansion of secondary packaging services in Germany.
Features:
The expansion of secondary packaging capacities helps to fulfill the growing customer requirements and market demands for complex packaging solutions.
It will include the development of a testing machine that enables application simulations and digital documentation on auto-injectors.
The expansion includes the state-of-the-art technologies and extensive know-how to provide high quality, compliance with regulatory requirements and user-friendly administration systems to customers.
The expansion has started and it will result in an increase of nearly 32,000ft² of new packaging capacity within the second floor of Vetter’s existing secondary packaging (VSP) facility.
The facility will feature new fully automated packaging lines, areas for manual and semi-automated packaging processes, as well as assembly equipment for multiple formats.
The Vetter serialisation and aggregation service will also be expanded under this project to fulfil future requirements of regulatory authorities.
The expansion will also include the installation of a new syringe blister line that features safety device assembly and equipment, as well as assembly machines for pens and auto-injectors to fulfil the growing demand of these systems in the market.
Vetter plans to expand its offering especially in the area of secondary packaging of end-user friendly devices, which support patient safety, convenience and compliance.
