Woodstock Sterile Solutions plans to invest US$8 million to open a new state-of-the-art facility in the Woodstock, Illinois.
Features:
The new system will feature inline serialisation and will operate at a speed of 250-300 bottles per minute, significantly increasing packaging capacity by 85 million units annually.
The facility will support the packaging of 5 mL and 10 mL oval and round multidose bottles, catering to a wide range of pharmaceutical applications.
The packaging line will integrate blow-fill-seal (BFS) technology, which ensures high sterility standards through an automated process of container formation, aseptic filling, and sealing. This approach minimises contamination risks and enhances product safety.
This Continuous 24/7 operation will be implemented to maintain production efficiency and meet growing demand.
The facility is slated for installation in 2025.
