The opening of these laboratories was made with a $9M USD investment which is part of the greater $130M USD expansion.
The new facility will bring new sustainable, high tech jobs to the region. Let’s Grow, a part of The Regional Growth Fund also contributed to the overall investment as part of FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies’.
This helps to continue growth in the Tees Valley. FUJIFILM is planning to continue to be at the forefront of pioneering research and the destination of choice for inward investment.
The new laboratories will be dedicated to support the Saturn™ mAb Platform cell culture Process Development activities.
The Saturn mAb Platform™ is designed to enable rapid access to process development and manufacturing capacity.
To incorporate the latest high-throughput technologies including fully automated high throughput bioreactors and chromatography systems, these laboratories are designed.
The Saturn™ Process Development Laboratories are a huge differentiator in the cell culture and monoclonal antibody process development space.
FUJIFILM helps patients in the rapid delivery of monoclonal antibody therapies by dedicating these facilities and bringing new technologies.
