Introduction:
Metrics Contract Services (Metrics) plans to invest US$10 million for the expansion of a novel oral solid dosage manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina.
Features:
The project is designed with the addition of 3,760 square feet of production space to the existing capacity. In addition, it consists of three new rooms such as the first dispensing/flex room, second is the tablet press room and the third flex room will be dedicated to handle the growing portfolio of commercial services followed by the huge demand for high potent handling capabilities from clients.
The investment also includes a Fette FE55 tablet press, a Bosch 720 encapsulator offering containment capabilities for the safe handling of potent products, and a weigh and dispenses isolator. The additional production space will provide flexibility and capacity to the CDMO and its clients.
The ongoing expansion project which is under construction for over six months is expected to end its construction and start its operations by February 2021.
